Professor Madhulekha Bhattacharya is a former Dean of Studies and Head of the Department of Community Health Administration at the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. She has also served as Head of Jan Sankhya Sthirata Kosh under the Ministry of Health, Government of India. She is a recipient of numerous prestigious fellowships awarded by the Government of India and leading international organizations, including UNAIDS, UNFPA, WHO, the East-West Center (Hawaii, USA), the Faculty of Public Health Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians (UK), the Population Association of America, the Fogarty International Center at Johns Hopkins University (USA), DFID–British Council Faculty Exchange Programme, and Partners in Population and Development (PPD), Dhaka, Bangladesh, among others.

Dr Roopa Vohra

Dr. Roopa Vohra holds a Ph.D. from the University of Delhi. Her pre-doctoral work, titled “Status, Education & Problems of Indian Women,” was published as a book and recognized as a standard textbook in Education by the National Educational Resource Centre, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India (1988). She has an extensive body of scholarly work, including numerous widely acclaimed research papers and book chapters spanning diverse areas such as intellectual disability, drug abuse, leprosy, AIDS, stress, emerging lifestyle challenges, women’s empowerment, and Ayurvedic healing and its relevance to modern well-being. Dr. Vohra is a founding member of this journal, established in collaboration with the late Prof. Arun K. Sen—an eminent academic, Fulbright Scholar, and former Head of the Department of Psychology, University of Delhi. Prof. Sen was a recipient of the prestigious UGC National Lectureship (1986–87) and served as a visiting professor at leading international institutions, including the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Oxford, U.K.

Professor Santoshi Halder
Associate Editor.
Prof. Santoshi Halder is Professor in the Department of Education, University of Calcutta. She holds a postgraduate degree in Education, a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BACB, USA), and a licensed Special Educator under the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). She is a recipient of several prestigious international fellowships, including the Fulbright Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowship (USA, 2020), Rockefeller Fellowship (Italy, 2019), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship (2019), and the Endeavour Australia–India Education Council Research Fellowship. Prof. Halder specializes in behaviour intervention services, particularly for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and is actively involved in training parents and practitioners. She has successfully completed ten major research projects (six international and four national), funded by organizations such as the Hungarian Government, UGC, ICSSR, NIHSS, USIEF, IIE, JSPS, and the Rockefeller Foundation. She has edited several international volumes on inclusive education and pedagogy (published by Routledge, Springer, and Palgrave Macmillan), as well as research methodology, and has authored a book on Educational Technology (Routledge). She is currently engaged in multiple international research projects and peer-reviewed publications in the areas of educational technology, inclusion, and autism.

Professor Anuradha Sovani.
Professor Anuradha Sovani is former Head of the Department of Psychology and Associate Dean (Humanities) at SNDT Women’s University. She has also served as Head of the Department of Applied Psychology at the University of Mumbai. Currently, she is Trustee and Consultant at the Institute for Psychological Health, Thane, Maharashtra, and Advisor to AACCI. A distinguished academic, she is a recipient of several prestigious honours, including the UGC Research Fellowship, National Talent Search Scholarship, and the Mankar Prize of the University of Mumbai. Her scholarly excellence has been recognized through awards from the Indian Psychological Association, as well as for best research publications in the interdisciplinary journal Disabilities and Impairments and for children’s literature by the Government of Maharashtra. Professor Sovani is known for effectively translating research into practical applications within the Indian context. She has authored ten Marathi books focusing on child mental health, quality of life, marital relationships, and counselling, and is the founder of the widely followed news series “Maanas-Rang.” She has also completed a UGC Major Research Project on Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia, published as a book in collaboration with Deshpande and Thatte. With over sixty-five research papers and book chapters in national and international publications, she is a regular contributor to leading newspapers and academic forums.

Lt General P.G. Kamath [Retd].
Lt. Gen. P. G. Kamath is a senior General Officer of the Indian Army with over four decades of extensive, ground-level professional experience in strategic development. His expertise spans human resource management, training, and the integration of emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on aligning skills with workplace environments and operational objectives within the Indian context. He has served as Special Rapporteur with the National Human Rights Commission, overseeing key assignments across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Lt. Gen. Kamath also held the prestigious position of Commandant of the Army War College, an institution of international repute. A specialist in leadership development, he possesses deep insight into human resource capabilities and the design of effective implementation strategies under diverse and challenging conditions. His contributions extend beyond military service, having rendered significant support to government initiatives through monitoring and evaluation of critical social sectors. These include Primary Health Centres, District and Community Health Centres, old age homes, juvenile hostels, immunization drives, mid-day meal programmes, and efforts addressing bonded labour and human trafficking. His work reflects a sustained commitment to strengthening inclusive national development through both administrative oversight and grassroots engagement.

Dr Tojo Thatchenkery.
Dr. Tojo Thatchenkery is an eminent Indian scholar and currently serves as Professor and Director of the M.S. in Organization Development and Knowledge Management (ODKM) program at the Schar School of Policy and Government, George Mason University, USA. He is the author of over a dozen books and more than one hundred scholarly articles. Among his notable works is Appreciative Intelligence: Seeing the Mighty Oak in the Acorn, which has been recommended by Harvard Business Review. Professor Thatchenkery serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Applied Behavioural Science and the Journal of Organizational Change Management. With over twenty-five years of academic and professional experience, he has taught extensively across public policy, MBA, organization development, and executive education programs in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. His work reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence and meaningful engagement with grassroots development initiatives worldwide.

Professor Tej Bahadur Singh.
Professor Tej Bahadur Singh is Chairman, formerly Governing Council of the National Institute of Mental Health Rehabilitation. He has previously served as Dean, School of Human Sciences, and Professor of Psychology at the Central University of South Bihar. An expert in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), clinical research, family therapy, clinical supervision, and psychological assessment, he has received a fellowship from the British Council and conducted extensive research in psychosocial rehabilitation at the University of Birmingham. Professor Singh has held key positions in premier national institutions, including the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities, National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development, and the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, where he was a founding faculty member. At IHBAS, he established the Department of Clinical Psychology and served as Professor, Head of Department, and Dean. He has made significant contributions to developing community-oriented service models, psychotherapy practices, and psychosocial rehabilitation frameworks. A prolific scholar, he has authored books and published over 95 research papers in national and international journals, along with several research monographs. He has also served as Principal Investigator for 15 major research projects.

Professor Zokaitluangi.
Professor Zokaitluangi has over three decades of academic experience in central universities, having served under the North Eastern Hill University (1989–2001) and, since 2011, at Mizoram University, an institution accredited with NAAC Grade “A”. She is a former Dean, School of Social Sciences (2016–2019), and has served twice as Head of the Department of Psychology (2003–2007; 2012–2016) at Mizoram University. Known for her strong professional acumen, she has effectively aligned academic research with workplace and societal needs. Professor Zokaitluangi is a member of the Mizoram State Commission for Women and has also served in Lok Adalat under the State Legal Services Authority. She is a subject expert with the Indian Council of Social Science Research and the University Grants Commission, and contributes as an expert/member to academic bodies across more than twenty universities.

Professor Akbar Husain.
Professor Akbar Husain is former Chairman, Department of Psychology, and Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences at Aligarh Muslim University. A distinguished academic, he is the recipient of the Sir Syed Innovation Award (Outstanding Researcher of the Year, 2018), along with several other national and international honours. With over four decades of teaching experience, he has served at Aligarh Muslim University, Eritrea Institute of Technology (where he also held the position of Program Head), and University of Malaya. Professor Husain serves on the editorial boards of several international refereed journals and is an active member of various scientific committees. A prolific scholar, he has published over 291 research papers in national and international journals, authored more than 100 book chapters, and co-authored or edited over 46 books. He has also developed and standardized 30 psychological tests. Known for his academic rigor and professional integrity, he has consistently contributed to advancing scholarship, mentoring students, and strengthening academic communities.

Dr. Panch Ramalingam.
Dr. Panch Ramalingam is Professor and Director of the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre and Chairperson of the Human Resource Development Centre at Pondicherry University (formerly Academic Staff College established by the University Grants Commission). He oversees programmes for planning, organizing, monitoring, and evaluating faculty development initiatives for colleges and universities. With over three decades of experience in academia, teaching, and research, he has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international forums, including overseas universities. He has organized more than fifteen national and twelve international conferences and seminars. A prolific author and editor, Dr. Ramalingam has contributed over 110 books, including twenty in psychology and education. His works have undergone multiple editions and earned prestigious recognitions, including the Best Book Awards from the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Cal Catterall Award from the International School Psychology Association. He serves as President of the Indian School Psychology Association and the Asia Pacific School Psychology Association, and is also a visiting faculty member at University of Klagenfurt.

Tapash Chatterjee.
Tapash Chatterjee is a decorated officer of the Indian Army. He combined his vision with his man management skills to conceptualize and implement the mission ‘Ability Beyond Disability’ as First Nodal officer in conjunction with Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India & Indian Army. The Mission was aimed at restoring the dignity of persons with disabilities, strengthen the grassroots & community level activities by connecting rehabilitation professionals with those in need, residing in remote, under-served and border areas of the country. The mission work reported in Niti Ayog Report for outstanding strategies on effective & efficient Implementation with Sterling Performances covering remote, underserved border areas of India. He is regular contributor to the “Behind The Headlines” column of the Journal Disabilities & Impairment and strong advocate of social entrepreneurship and adding positive value to society through empowerment & development. He also serves as Chief Administrative Officer for large-scale societal development initiatives in remote and underserved areas.
